days to work alongside Dennis Haysberth

SYNOPSIS: A comedic caper about a pirate radio operator who
hatches a plot to take out the world’s biggest media corporation with
the help of a group of misfits, a broken-down RV and the ghost of
Richard Nixon.

LOCATION: Seattle, WA

FILMING DATES: September/October 2009

COMPENSATION: $100-$125/day

PRINCIPAL CASTING BREAKDOWN:

*There will be rehearsal time scheduled before filming. Also once film
is completed there will be paid travel to promote the film.

ZEKE:
Male, 30s: Kurt Cobain meets Che Guevara, Zeke’s not a natural
leader – he’s a natural ringleader. He’s boiling over with outrage at
the injustices of Corporate America, but has yet to get off the fence
and truly take a risk himself. Never able to peacefully coexist in
mainstream society, Zeke fancies himself a culture-jamming punk-rock
revolutionary, satisfying his drive for social justice only with
things
he can get away with…so far.

LEROY BROWN:
Male, 30s: Real name Dr. Saïd Hamad, a top aerospace
engineer who moonlights by helping Zeke defend America’s airwaves
from
corporate greed. He’ll have to choose between his promising career
and
helping Zeke pull off the biggest pirate broadcast in history.
Fortunately for the group, Leroy’s a die hard Mets fan and a sucker
for
lost causes.

SMONKEY:
Female, 20s/30s: Real name Sara Monk, she’s a Seattle girl,
an activist and a documentary filmmaker determined to change the
world.
While she’s not sure Monkeyfish qualifies as activism, it’s the best
thing going at the moment, and it’s apparent they can’t get along
without her. She’s the altruist of the group, frequently put in the
thankless position of keeping them honest.

RENZO:
Male, 30s/40s: Owner of a car repair shop and former Marine,
Renzo has set his conservative leanings aside to be part of what he
believes is a genuinely patriotic cause, and it’s by his efforts
alone
that the RV stays on the road. He prefers swift and drastic action to
strategems and pointless discussion.

JOEL:
Male, 20s: DJ, video artist and amateur pornographer, Joel does
most of the music and video programming for Monkeyfish. While he’s
not
overly concerned about corporate impingement on freedom of the press,
pirate radio is fun as hell and helps him maintain his image as a
rebel.

We have some featured extra needs that I wanted to share with you in case you wanted to share with your talent.

Featured extras are the same pay as regular extras, minimum wage, guaranteed 10 hours of work.

We start filming August 4th and film to September 12.

I am submitting pictures for featured extras as we speak. Before submitting we need to know if the folks are interested in the role and their availability.

The film would be rated R for language, violence, nudity and sexual content.

FEATURED EXTRA ROLES still available:

-INDIAN MAN (1 scene) Odd, uniquely looking man from India. Man is thin, not healthy looking, like a street person, possibly sinister.

-BOYS ON BIKES (multiple scenes) – adolescent, prepubescent boys 10 years old and under. They will see one of our main stars portrayed as dead. Also when they find her body, her dress will have blown up her waist and they
will see her underwear. So it’s a morbid, sexually charged scene.

-CURVY, DEVELOPED MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL (multiple scenes) – will be playing basketball in one scene. The other scene is just her with our main character still in the gym. Fully clothed but wearing a tight t-shirt showing her developed chest. She does not get touched, she is just looked at as she walks by.

-LATINA GIRLS- young Latino girls age 4-6, playing, dancing, and giggling. Will be the character JOSE’s children. NOTHING morbid or sexually charged in this scene
